At Whanganui Scout Group, we really value all adult volunteers.
We encourage all adults joining the group along with their youth to become a volunteer. There are a few ways in which you could do this.
- Becoming an adult helper, this means that when needed we are able to call on you to help out either at a section night or at a weekend event. Also to attend any weekend events or section nights you must be at least an adult helper status.
- Becoming a committee member, this gives you adult helper with the added extra to become a part of our awesome committee, we have meetings once a month.
- Becoming a Leader, you may choose which section you would like to become a leader with, keas, cubs, scouts or venturers. The role of the leader is to attend weekly section nights, helping the youth organise and come up with the ideas for the termly programme, also helping/attending any weekend events as available. Attend trainings and obtain a first aid certificate (the group will pay for this).
